Social Contribution System

Under the goal of realizing its core value and guaranteeing universal social value, Daejoo Electronic Materials fulfills social responsibilities by carrying out a wide range of social contribution activities linked to corporate competencies. In 2023, we donated to and performed volunteer activities in a social welfare center and the local community. We also participated actively in an environmental improvement program. Moving forward, Daejoo Electronic Materials will continue strengthening social contribution by increasing the in-house volunteer group and donation activities.

Social Contribution Strategies

To assist in local community development, Daejoo Electronic Materials promoted the Future Technology School project in cooperation with Siheung City and a local university. We train and foster local talents through this project, thereby contributing to enterprise-customized talent fostering and job creation. In addition, while continuously carrying out a range of social contribution activities including donations for the vulnerable class and sponsorship of key government events, we plan to develop more effective programs for social contribution. In doing so, we aim to create positive impacts on society such as fostering enterprise-specific talents, developing professional personnel necessary for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, operating employment-linked training programs, and enhancing the welfare of the vulnerable groups in the local community.

Social Contribution Activities

Domestic Social Contribution Activities and Performances in 2023

In 2023, Daejoo Electronic Materials faithfully carried out social responsibilities through various social contribution activities. We purchased rice from Gunja Nonghyup, Banwol Nonghyup, and Angan Nonghyup for urban-rural coexistence and contributed to addressing environmental issues by participating in the environmental improvement program of Siheung City. In addition, we carried out a variety of social contribution activities to support the socially vulnerable such as donations and volunteer works for nursing homes, centers for the disabled, multicultural families, and orphanage, and also supported supplies for the Jamboree event. Moving forward, we will continue fulfilling our responsibilities for the local community by encouraging employees’ participation and expanding the scope of our social contribution activities.

Donation of Money and Supplies

Daejoo Electronic Materials practiced sharing with the local community by donating rice to nearby welfare centers for the disabled, nursing homes, welfare centers for foreigners, and orphanage. We also participated in the activity of supporting drinking water for the Jamboree event held in 2023. As such, Daejoo Electronic Materials is fulfilling social responsibilities through donation in cash and in kind.

Cooperation with Local Community - Job Creation

Based on the policy to preferentially recruit job seekers from the local community, Daejoo Electronic Materials recruited new employees through close cooperation with Siheung City Job Center. With our service recognized, we won the citation of the Major of Siheung City.

Cooperation with Local Community - University Development Fund

Daejoo Electronic Materials donated development fund to a local university to assist in technological development and talent fostering.

Cooperation with Local Community - Support for Academic Association

Daejoo Electronic Materials is cooperating with the Korean Society of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry to support academic and technological development on the basis of the technological power and R&D personnel secured. In 2023, we participated in the spring and fall general assemblies and conferences and made donations for the development of industrial and engineering chemistry.
