ESG Governance

ESG Management Promotion System

Daejoo Electronic Materials is promoting company-wide ESG management activities by establishing the ESG Committee and ESG Council. Receiving reports on the key ESG agenda items, the BOD and top management including the ESG Committee have the final responsibility for the ESG policies, strategies, and goals. Under the leadership of the Strategy and ESG Team, ESG management activities are carried out through organic collaboration among persons in charge from the business and supporting divisions of the headquarters.

ESG Committee

Consisting of two independent directors and one member of the management, the ESG Committee reviews ESG performances and risks to improve sustainability. Deliberating on key ESG issues, the Committee is responsible for granting final approval of the ESG management policies, strategies, and mid- to long-term goals.

Strategy and ESG Team

The Strategy and ESG Team plans, manages, and cooperates with other divisions for company-wide ESG management activities that include company-wide ESG project management, ESG data collection and analysis, preparation of sustainability reports and website, and communication with and information disclosure to stakeholders. With the goal of upgrading the Company’s ESG management system, the Strategy and ESG Team designs management indicators and manages data for each indicator by developing a company-wide ESG data system.

ESG Council (Working Group)

Daejoo Electronic Materials operates the ESG Council consisting of persons in charge of the areas of environmental management, health and safety, materials, quality control, information system, internal accounting, and financial accounting for each of the environmental (E), social (S), and governance (G) sectors. It discusses the ESG-related strategies and goals of each division, collects key ESG Data, and shares ESG performances. In principle, the ESG Council is operated on a regular basis, but extraordinary meetings are convened for ESG information disclosure and response to external evaluations.
